THERMALKILL'S CHECKLIST:
BEFORE - DURING - AFTERWARDS
ThermalKill technician's will introduce heater(s), monitoring devices, and high velocity fans in order to
increase temperatures to lethal levels.  Kill temperatures in the treated area will range between 130 -
118 degrees Fahrenheit.  Adequate air flow and heat penetration is critical to a successful treatment.
Please prepare the area as follows:

1.  Please REMOVE items that could be damaged by heat or blowing fans.  The following is a quick list:

Please note that it is extremely important that any removed items be inspected for pests.  Bathe pets,
rinse live plants and inspect carefully removed items to prevent re-introducing pests.

2.  All clothing and bedding should be washed and dried in a dryer on high temperature for at least 20
minutes.  Waterbeds will need to be drained. Air beds need to be partially deflated.

3.  All knick-knacks, statuettes and brick-a-brack should be washed and stored.  Items that can be
blown around and possibly damaged need to be protected. Wall mounted objects should be lowered.

4.  Notify ThermalKill of the presence of any fire sprinklers, heat sensors, alarm systems, vinyl
wallpaper, vinyl windows, self-stick floor tile and any other items that may be damaged by heat.

5.  Switch off all electrical appliances and disconnect from the wall outlet.

DURING: Our technician's will move furniture, mattresses and other items to insure adequate
exposure to heated air flow.  Our high-velocity fans push heated air into corners and crevices,
saturating the area with heat. Our heaters require 75 amps on 120 volt service or 37.5 amps on 240 volt
service. Connections to a maximum of 6 separate 15 amp circuits are required per heater.  Extension
cords will run between the heaters and the outlets. Only our technician's will be allowed in the area
during the treatment process. If sufficient power is not available, portable generators are available for
an additional charge.

AFTERWARD: Generally speaking, treatments don't last longer than 6 to 8 hours, depending on the
size and "tightness" of the area. Treated areas can be used immediately afterwards because no
chemicals were used.  A cool down period will be required as couches and mattresses will remain
warm. Open the windows to cool down the area before turning on the air conditioning.  You may notice
dead bugs and dust that was blown around.  Vaccuum the area completely and thoroughly and dispose
of the vaccuum bag and contents.

Prevent bedbugs from returning by inspecting new furniture.  Treat backpacks and clothing in the
dryer on high for 20 minutes after returning from a trip.  Vaccuum luggage before storing.  Watch for
early signs of the presence of bedbugs.
